The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is subject to an annual statutory inspection by HMIC under Section 41 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998. In this report HMIC examined progress against the targets laid out in the PSNI’s 2010/11 Policing Plan.

Performance Management Report – December 2007

This inspection of the PSNI focused on performance management, which is viewed as being critical for the effective delivery of a range of services. It was part of a new risk based approach to inspections, focusing on key areas instead of a broad approach looking at all areas of delivery.
